He has over 25 years of "Full Life-Cycle" IT experience with 20 years of managing software developers, implementing systems and 10 years in (senior) project management. Shakeeb has been involved in a number of projects where his skills have lead to the creation of applications that have reaped considerable and sometimes unforeseen benefits.

Store based KPI Reporting - Designed and managed the development of a dynamic store based KPI reporting system which consisted of an intranet linked to the Data warehouse. This replaced the existing system of generating reports and placing them on a web server to be downloaded by each of the 2000 stores. Originally estimated to cost £2.5m, the solution that Shakeeb proposed came in at a lot less due to the innovative use of technology. A number of company first's were achieved in this innovative solution that allowed the client to make huge savings on Time and Staff reductions. Within 4 months the system paid for itself.

Loss Prevention - Designed and managed the development of a Business Objects/Teradata transactions analysis system. Due to the huge number of sales transactions the client was susceptible to low level fraudulent transactions. Originally estimated to cost £2m with £200k just for the initial investigation, the solution that Shakeeb proposed came in at a lot less due to the innovative use of data. The creation of a "rules" based system to analyse all past transactions and identify "patterns". The solution allowed the client to obtain visibility of potentially fraudulent transactions, to introduce policies and procedure changes that drastically reduced stock losses. It also allowed Store managers to critique/train their staff and improved the customer experience. Within 3 months the system paid for itself.

Direct Debit - Designed and managed the development of a replacement Direct Debits system, by linking the Mainframe and PC system and creating an automated electronic audit trail, the system found historic anomalies of over £2m (which were quickly recovered). The system also reduced the number of users from 4 to 1 and increased the monthly transactions from £500k to £1.5m within 3 months of going live. Within 12 months the system paid for itself 20 times over.

Debt Recovery - Designed and managed the development of a replacement Debt Recovery system, following the principles of the Direct Debit system, found historic anomalies of £1m. The application increased the number of debts recovered by including a bespoke workflow system that was managed electronically which drove the monthly transactions from 1000 to 2000 within 3 months of going live without the need for additional personnel. Within 12 months the system paid for itself 8 times over.
